Royal High School is going cellphone free!
Supporting our students for greater success effective after spring break
Why are we making this positive change.
Royal High School is implementing a cellphone free policy to boost student focus, academic engagement, and relationships. Recent feedback revealed only 45% of students were regularly engaged in class, and 57% completed academic tasks. The policy aims to reduce distractions, enhance attention, support perseverance, and foster a more connected school community.
Better Focus, Better Learning
Students succeed when distractions decrease and focus increases. By reducing cell phone distractions, we help students fully engage in meaningful, interactive lessons.
Building Stronger Connections
Less screen time means more genuine conversations, stronger friendships, and improved relationships between students, teachers, and peers. A connected school community helps student feel known, supported, and valued.
Creating a Supportive School Environment
Fewer digital distractions contribute to a calmer atmosphere. Students feel safer, more comfortable, and happier at school, leading to greater overall well-being.
