The University of Washington GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness & Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) Project is part of a national effort to help students prepare for and succeed in higher education.

GEAR UP provides critical early college awareness and support services like tutoring, mentoring, academic preparation and counseling, and financial education to improve access to higher education for all students.  Royal GEAR UP currently is serving the class of 2023 and the class of 2024 under two separate grants: RISE UP 3 and SKY 2.
